Union Messianic Jewish Congregations
Messianic Jewish Alliance
The UMJC is the oldest and broadest affiliation of congregations serving the Jewish movement for Yeshua as Messiah and Lord, serving congregations that are committed to Yeshua and connected with Jewish life and identity. At our founding in 1979, we listed five organizational objectives:
• To further the initiation, establishment, and growth of Messianic Jewish Congregations worldwide.
• To be a voice for Messianic Jewish Congregations and Messianic Judaism worldwide.
• To provide a forum for the discussion of issues relevant to Messianic Judaism and Messianic Jewish Congregations.
• To aid in the causes of our Jewish people worldwide, especially in Israel.
• To support the training of Messianic Leaders.
The MJAA was founded in 1915, and today it is the largest voice organization representing the Messianic Jewish community in the world today. Our purpose is twofold:
To testify to the large and growing number of Jewish people who believe that Yeshua (Hebrew for Jesus) is the promised Jewish Messiah and Savior of the world to bring together Jewish and non-Jewish people who have a shared vision for the physical and spiritual restoration of Israel.
Why is this necessary? For many centuries the Jewish people have frequently suffered at the hands of those calling themselves followers of Jesus. At the same time, the "Good News" or Gospel of Yeshua was often presented without mention of this Gospel's roots in God's relationship with His Jewish people throughout Scripture, and His promise of salvation through the Jewish Messiah.
These factors lead many Jewish people to assume that to follow Yeshua is to leave the faith of their fathers and become non-Jewish. The MJAA has worked to combat this misconception for almost a century.
Blue Letter Bible
Since the mid-1990’s, the Lord has reached millions of lives in over two hundred countries through Sowing Circle’s ministry of Blue Letter Bible. Our vision for creating a website offering Bible study reference tools was established in the mid 1990’s, at the beginning of the technological revolution. It has developed into one of the most advanced Bible centric study resources available offering a vast array of study tools that link off of Bible content pages. By God’s grace, Blue Letter Bible has fostered an in-depth understanding of the Bible, allowing God’s Word to permeate the hearts and minds of Christians around the world who are hungry to grow in the truth of Jesus Christ.
In 1996, Blue Letter Bible began by offering the King James Version and commentaries online, which were followed by the Hebrew and Greek Lexicon, audio sermons, maps, and other Bible versions. In 2004, Blue Letter Bible introduced Blue Letter Bible Institute, making 4 Bible courses available free of charge. By 2005, Blue Letter Bible expanded online offerings to include twelve English, one Spanish, three Greek, one original Hebrew, and the Latin Vulgate Bible versions.

THE JERUSALEM POST
The Jerusalem Post is a broadsheet newspaper based in Jerusalem, publishing only English and French editions. It was founded in 1932 by Gershon Agron as The Palestine Post and changed its name in 1950 to The Jerusalem Post.
JPost.com was launched in December 1996. Its current version also contains a French language edition (fr.jpost.com), blogs, an ePaper version of the daily newspaper, a range of magazines and other web versions of the Group's products.
According to Alexa Internet traffic rankings, JPost.com is among the top 3,000 websites in the United States. The site is an entity separate from the daily newspaper. While sharing reporters, it is managed by different teams. Its staff is based in Tel Aviv, while the newspaper offices are located in Jerusalem.
The site contains archives that go back to 1989, and the default search on the site sends users to archive listings, powered by ProQuest, where articles can be purchased. Free blurbs of the article are available as well, and full articles are available when linked to directly from navigation within JPost.com or from a search engine.
Sounds Of Shalom
Sounds of Shalom was birthed out of the urban renovation of an old downtown building in upstate NY. On break from dealing with 70,000 lbs of garbage being cleared out of this building, in the spring of 2005 DJ Dave told the rabbi, “What I’d love to do is talk to Jewish people about Yeshua.” The rabbi smiled, and said, “We can do that!” DJ Dave was incredulous. The cost of radio station gear, a radio transmitter, land for a transmitter site, cost of a tower, the arduous FCC licensing process and so much more was beyond what seemed possible for a small ministry.
Before that conversation, the rabbi had been following the technological development of the internet. It was too small a thing to broadcast locally. The world was going to get Messianic Jewish internet radio! In that same downtown building, a suite of studios was built to house the future internet radio station. Prayer was raised up for this. Research was done about the best way to launch. Starting in June 2006, Sounds of Shalom went live and has been broadcasting continuously ever since. We are glad you are here!
